Yes, it is legal to swim with dolphins in Hawaii. NOAA regulations prohibit anyone from swimming with Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins within 2 nautical miles from the shore. However, there are many other species of dolphins that we are able to swim with. Most commonly we swim with Spotted or Bottlenose dolphins 3 miles offshore.

  • Sun protection: glasses, hat, reef-safe sunscreen (click the link to learn more)
  • Any food or drink you’d like for the day. We have a cooler and ice onboard for your use.
  • GoPro or waterproof camera
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Towel & dry clothes
  • Wetsuit if you get cold easily

Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. However, there are many types of wildlife that we may encounter, such as:

  • Various dolphin species
  • Turtles & reef fish
  • Humpback Whales (Dec-Apr)
  • Pilot Whales
  • Hawaiian Monk seals
  • And more!
  • glass bottles
  • bananas (Ask your captain why!)

Touching the wildlife is prohibited for their safety and ours. It is against the law to touch Hawaii marine wildlife.

You may consume alcohol on board after the swimming portion is complete.

Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the tour date and time will result in a full refund. After this time period fees will apply. Please refer to our policies & disclaimers page for more information.

Our boat is located in the Waianae Small Boat Harbor Address: 85-491 Farrington Hwy, Waianae, HI 96792.

It takes about 1 hour to drive from Waikiki to Waianae, depending on traffic. If you do not have a rental car, Uber, Lyft and The Bus are available. The Bus is only $5 per fare. If bussing, please plan for about 2 hours transportation time. 

After pulling into the harbor, please park to the right of the parking lot.

Check-in will begin 30 minutes prior to the tour. Please wait on the grass outside the brown two-story building. Our crew member will meet you there.
Please verify your check-in time and plan ahead to arrive on time. Fill out one waiver per person before check-in.

No, we do not offer transportation at this time. Please plan for transportation accommodations via either your own rental car or Lyft, Uber or The Bus

Ocean conditions are unpredictable. If you are prone to seasickness or unsure, please plan ahead by taking dramamine 1 hour prior to the tour. There are also sea sickness bands that can be helpful. If you do get sick, the crew will do their best to assist you in recovering, however, the tour will not return early unless all guests approve.

We accept all experience levels! Please note that weaker swimmers may be asked to stay on board during the swimming portion. When conditions allow, the crew is happy to assist you in the water.

Dolphin drops are fast-paced and are recommended for guests who can comfortably swim in the open ocean. But our guests that stay on board also tend to get fantastic viewings of the dolphins from above water.

Enjoy the smooth ride onboard our Robalo R272 for the ultimate snorkeling experience. The boat is equipped with two easy entry points into the ocean. The entire boat has cushion seating, making it a comfortable ride throughout the tour.

The ocean is home to sharks, but sightings are very rare. We have a 100% safety record, and if there is a shark sighting, our crew is trained to keep you safe.

Fun fact: You are more likely to die from a coconut landing on your head than a shark attack.

Yes, our boat is equipped with a bathroom also known as a marine head. Please note that the system is very sensitive, so all toilet paper, feminine products, or foreign objects should be placed in the trash.

Ocean and weather conditions are unpredictable. Our captains will closely examine the conditions before each tour to determine if it is safe to run. In the rare event that the tour needs to be canceled, a full-refund will be issued for any guests who can not change their tour date/ time.

All ages are welcome! For any young children, we recommend a parent accompanies them in the water or stays on board with them if they are not strong swimmers. Children’s gear is limited.

Yes! Our crew and captains are seasoned mariners of the Oahu coastline. They are happy to answer any questions and share history and educational information with you throughout the tour.

It is very important to notify your captain and crew of any recent or current injuries, illnesses, or medical conditions prior to the tour. If you have any allergies or important medication please let us know where we can find it and how to assist you in the event of an emergency.
